PSP Obligations

As a Payment Service Provider (PSP) using Celar, you play a critical role in maintaining regulatory compliance. This section outlines what you're expected to enforce when integrating with our platform.

Core PSP Responsibilities​

You are required to:

  • Perform full KYC on all merchants before syncing them
  • Restrict onboarding to merchants in supported jurisdictions
  • Keep merchant data accurate and regularly updated
  • Respond promptly to any flagged transactions or risk alerts

KYC Enforcement Points​

KYC data is validated at multiple points:

  • During merchant onboarding (/merchants/sync)
  • When payments are processed
  • During periodic risk audits

If a payment fails KYT checks, it will be flagged or blocked.
