Celar uses a few specific terms throughout the platform. This glossary helps clarify what each one means.

PSP | Payment Service Provider — A platform or partner that integrates with Celar to manage and route stablecoin payments on behalf of merchants. |
Merchant | A business onboarded by a PSP. Merchants receive stablecoin payments through Celar’s infrastructure. |
Payment | A stablecoin transaction initiated by a customer and tracked end-to-end via Celar. |
intermediary_wallet | A smart wallet address generated per payment to receive customer funds before settlement. |
Settlement | The process of transferring received funds to their intended destination. |
KYT | Know Your Transaction — A compliance check run on each transaction to detect risk or illicit activity. |
risk_level | The outcome of a KYT check. One of: low , medium , or high . |
flags | Specific reasons why a payment is flagged (e.g., "Known Mixer", "OFAC Match", "Exceeds Threshold"). |
metadata | Optional structured data attached to a payment (e.g., order_id , customer_ref ) for tracking or reconciliation. |
